EndNote for Windows

Guide to setting up EndNote for Windows

Getting Journal Abbreviations to display

Some citation styles abbreviate journal names. Here is an example:

A style that uses the journal's full name:

Adikwu, Elias, and Nelson Brambaifa. "Ciprofloxacin Induced Chondrotoxicity and Tendinopathy." American Journal of Pharmacology & Toxicology 7.3 (2012): 94-100. Print.

A style that uses the journal's abbreviated name:

Adikwu E, Brambaifa N (2012) CIPROFLOXACIN INDUCED CHONDROTOXICITY AND TENDINOPATHY. Am J Pharmacol Toxicol 7 (3):94-100. doi:10.3844/ajptsp.2012.94.100

You can import a list of journal names and abbreviations into EndNote. You will only need to do this one time.
