EndNote for Windows

Guide to setting up EndNote for Windows

General Instructions

Is there an article you want to save into EndNote? Most of the databases that you search for articles will work with EndNote.

General Instructions:

  1. Open your EndNote Library.
  2. Open a browser.
  3. Go to the MU Libraries web page and search a database.
  4. Mark the citations that interest you.
  5. Look for an option like "Export," "Add to Folder," or "Save."
  6. If prompted choose EndNote or RIS format.
  7. Your citations should open in EndNote.

Please note that all pop-up screens or windows open in EndNote must be closed in order for references to be imported into EndNote. Also, if EndNote is open in the background, it is often easier to import references.
