Back up your library

It is a good idea to regularly back up your EndNote library. 

  1. Open the File Menu and select "Compressed Library."
  2. Select "Create." 
  3. Navigate to the folder where you will put your backup library, or create a new folder for it.
  4. You can change the name of the library (mylibrary_backup is a good name), otherwise, select SAVE.
  5. If you get into the good habit of backing up your library often, you can keep the same name for the backup library and overwrite it as you add more citations.
