Policy
Patrons who wish to comment on library resources are encouraged to submit a patron comment form. MU faculty and staff will use an established procedure to thoroughly review and respond to all comments.
Procedure
Reconsideration of resource requests in the MU Libraries may be submitted by students, faculty and staff of the University of Missouri. Those persons wishing to comment on resources in the MU Libraries will be asked to submit the Patron Comment on Library Materials form.
The completed form will be received by the Library Communication Officer and shared with the appropriate departments, (i.e., the Collections Steering Committee and subject selector for materials).
The patron will be informed that while resources are under consideration, materials will remain available to the public.
Departmental and Committee recommendations will be sent to library administration, who will make the final decision.
The person submitting the form will be notified in writing regarding any decision or action to be taken.
