Integrating Library Content in Canvas

This is a comprehensive guide to help instructors and librarians provide the best resources for students via Canvas.

Linking from Ebscohost databases including Discover@MU

  1. When looking at the item record in Discover@MU or a specific Ebscohost database, click the Share icon in the upper right corner of the record.  
  2. Select Create Link to get the durable URL.  Example record: 
     https://research.ebsco.com/linkprocessor/plink?id=de0a0dae-109d-323e-abfc-a37e911814ba
  3. Copy to clipboard to make a copy of durable link.

You can also get the durable URL from the entry in the results list. 

  1. Click on the three dots menu in the upper right side of the citation. 
  2. Select Share and then Create Link.
  3. Copy the URL.

Linking from JSTOR

Access the desired article

1. Find your article on JSTOR. Click the title link to see the article details.

Copy the permanent link

3. Highlight the link in the location shown. This is the stable link. Copy this link to your clipboard.

Paste the link into your content with the proxy URL

4. Follow the instructions on the front page of this guide to copy the link into your content. The link should be in the following format:         http://proxy.missouri.edu/login?url=XXXX where the XXXX is the stable link that you copied from JSTOR.
