Lists typical net monthly bills for residential service, taking into account whether the household used electricity mainly for just lighting, or for refrigeration, cooking and water heating as well. Tells rates in all U.S. cities with a population over 50,000 residents.
Tells average retail prices for June and December of each year from 1941-1948, including coal, coke, gas, kerosene, fuel oil and briquets in each of 55 U.S. cities.
Average rates and prices are listed in "Prices paid by farmers..." (table 669) in Agricultural statistics, 1951 edition, p. 584.
These three volumes detail wholesale and retail price regulation for World War II. Published by the Office of Price Administration (OPA), there are nearly 5000 pages worth of price regulations. Some prices are listed depending on their geographic region. The office required that these products were labeled with an official tag with the OPA ceiling price. Some selected retail prices include:
