Wellbeing Collection

A guide to the Ellis Library Wellness Collection.

Introduction

Welcome to the Wellbeing Collection!

The Wellbeing Collection was created through a Mizzou Forward Grant awarded in February 2024. Based on student feedback and the academic climate, librarians Megan Ballengee (Outreach and Engagement Librarian) and Jill Kline (Student Success Librarian) secured funding to build a collection that supports student wellbeing.

These books were carefully chosen with input from campus support services, reading lists from other libraries, popular requests, and personal favorites. Our goal is to provide resources that help you feel supported, valued, and well.

You belong here! We hope you find something that speaks to you.

Book Reports

"I grabbed the personal finance book from the Wellness Collection and it was talking about budgets in the first chapter. So I looked at my TV subscriptions and was paying $105 per month!! So I got rid of a few things and reduced it to $65 which is an annual savings of $480!!!!!! The Wellness Collection just saved me almost $500 🙂 "

"I found a recipe in one of the cookbooks for banana bread cookies, and I LOVE them. The recipe called for cinnamon, but I'm allergic, so I added peanut butter instead. "
