Open Educational Resources (OER)

Designed for educators at the University of Missouri, this guide covers ways to find and create Open Educational Resources (OER).

MU Student Views on Textbook Costs

In Spring 2017, the University of Missouri's OER Interest Group conducted two surveys: one to determine how much students were spending on course materials and another to determine OER awareness and use among faculty.

This report contains key takeaways from the faculty and student surveys, comparisons to OER-related national averages, and recommendations for increasing OER use at the University of Missouri.

Student Government Resolution on OER

On April 21, 2015, the Missouri Students Association, Graduate Council, Residence Halls Association, Legion of Black Collegians, Panhellenic Association, Interfraternity Council, Four Front, and Missouri International Student Council met in joint session and passed unanimously a resolution stating that "the benefits of Open Educational Resources merits investigation at Missouri and across the SEC."
