University of Missouri School of Journalism, Scrapbook (689 photos) The Journalism school scrapbooks (circa 1909-1913) contain images (689 photos)believed to have been taken by one of the student photographers for the University’s publication, the Savitar. Some of the photographs were published there and in the Christian College yearbook, College Widow. In addition to showing everyday academic and student life in Columbia, photos depict a tour of the state prison in Jefferson City, sports events, hazing, the Farmers’ Fair, St. Patrick’s Day events, May Day, homecoming parades, and vacation at Lake Okoboji, Iowa.
