Missouri Conferences
Missouri Documents Conference - Organized by the University of Missouri in Columbia, this annual conference brings together documents librarians and other interested parties to share knowledge.
MLA - The Missouri Library Association has an annual conference, usually in October. The site for the conference rotates between Kansas City, Lake of the Ozarks, St. Louis, Springfield and Columbia. The Reference and Government Information Community of Interest often sponsors talks and posters on topics that relate to government information.
MOBIUS - MOBIUS is a consortium that has a shared union catalog for over 60 libraries, with courier service. The MOBIUS Annual Conference is a chance for MOBIUS members to come together once a year and swap ideas, network, and receive training. The conference is free for employees of Missouri libraries and is usually held in June.
Brick and Click - The Brick and Click: An Academic Library Symposium has been hosted by Northwest Missouri State University since 2001. Held in late October, the symposium concentrates on the needs of academic libraries.
National Conferences
ALA - The American Library Association's annual conference, held in late June, is an opportunity to learn about all aspects of libraries and librarianship. The mid-winter meeting is held in January.
FDLP Conference - The meetings include a variety of sessions on issues of interest to the depository library community, sharing of new products and services by Federal agency staff, and instructional/information sessions by colleagues in the Federal depository library community. This is held in conjunction with the Depository Library Council (DLC) Meeting. It is held in mid-October in Arlington, Virginia.
