Citing Sources

Chicago (or the closely related Turabian) style is the most frequently used style for the discipline of history.  It has two variations, footnote + bibliography and parenthetical citation + works-cited list.  Dr. Wigger prefers that you use footnote + bibliography style. 

Ellis Library has a copy of the latest edition of Turabian in the Ready Reference section.

Turabian Citation Style: What It Looks Like

Here is a snapshot of part of a paper, written in fake Latin, that uses the Turabian note + blbliography style.  There are numbered footnotes appearing on each page.
