Data Services Overview

MU Libraries Data Services offers reference assistance to MU faculty, staff and students in the acquisition of raw datasets for use in teaching and original research.  Through our campus memberships in the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) and the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, MU affiliates may access and download any of thousands of datasets on a wide variety of topics. We also help users access the growing collection of public use datasets on the internet.

Research Data Curation Bibliography. This selective bibliography includes over 750 articles, books, and technical reports that are useful in understanding curation of digital research. The bibliography covers topics such as research data creation, acquisition, metadata, provenance, repositories, management, policies, support services, funding agency requirements, peer review, publication, citation, sharing, reuse, and preservation.
