Dungeons & Dragons Resources

What is D&D Beyond?

D&D Beyond is the main website (and app for iOS and Android) for all things Dungeons and Dragons. Not only is it a good tool for helping you play the game, but is also has several other features that attract lovers of D&D:

  • A place to build, edit, and store character sheets that can be used during play
  • A forum space to discuss all things D&D and get answers to niche questons
  • There is a digital shop that you can purchase source books to unlock new character features, campaign stories and content, and new monsters and NPCs.
  • Information of rules and how to play to use while learning or reminding yourself of something
  • A digital space to store various resources for Dungeon Masters (DMs)

The simple fact about playing D&D is that there is a wide spectrum for what resources can be used to play the game. The most common question surrounding D&D Beyond is if you would like to use it as a free resource or put money toward a subscription or purchasing source books. While the choice is different for every player, there are objective pros and cons of each option.
