Newspaper Article

Last, F. I. (Year, Month Day). Title in sentence case. Publisher in italics. url if applicable.

Last, F. I. (Year, Month Day). Title in sentence case. Publisher in italics, pages.

  • If it is an online newspaper that has a URL that will resolve for readers, include it. If it doesn't have a permanent URL, do not include one.
  • If you used a print version, provide the page or pages of the article after the newspaper title.

 

Journal Article

Last, F. I., Last, F. I., & Last, F. I. (Year). Title in sentence case: Subtitle also sentence case. Journal name in italics, Vol(Iss), Pages. DOI url if applicable

  • If any information is missing, simply leave that part out. 
  • Use a DOI if the resource has one. Do not use links that will not resolve for readers (i.e., no database links). 

 

Report by a Government Agency

Agency Name. (Year). Title in italics and sentence case: Subtitle also in sentence case. (Institute Publication No.). Parent Agency Name. link to report

  • The specific agency responsible for the report appears as the author.
  • The names of parent agencies not present in the group author name appear in the source element as the publisher.
