ABC Documentaries - ABC TV Documentaries department welcomes proposals for our Contemporary, History, Science, Natural History, Religion & Ethics and Indigenous slates.

Big Sky Documentary Film Festival -  Big Sky Film Institute is to celebrate and promote the art of non-fiction filmmaking, and to encourage media literacy by fostering public understanding and appreciation of documentary film. 

CAAMFest - Presented by the Center for Asian American Media, the fest is the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian and Asian American films, presenting approximately 120 works virtually and in-person throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Latest submission deadline is December, festival occurs in May.

Culture UnpluggedFilms on: The beauty or the shadow within and its extension into our personal relationships;Present human ethos/viewpoints on intimacy, relationships, family structures and the new/enlightened ideas/visions about its future; Documented case-studies of expressive art therapy; Individual bio-psycho-spiritual health challenge (life experienced through it) and stories of recoveries, transformation, transcendence; Biographies of individuals (known or unknown members of human community) who lived or are living socio-culturally radical lives.

DocAlliance -  An online platform for the distribution of documentary and experimental films which was launched by a new initiative for documentary films.

Documentary.net -  Seen a good film? Share it with others! Promote your new film? (it can be the finished film, or a trailer, making-of etc.)

DocuClub - DocuClub is a work-in-progress screening series offering the public and members of the documentary film community a first look of new projects. Filmmakers and creators have the opportunity to showcase their rough cut and consult feedback from their peers and audience. Selected filmmakers are paired with seasoned story/editing consultants to help them integrate audience feedback into their film. Take note of application requirements.

DocumentaryTube - Watch and Submit.  Visitors are able to choose different subject matter from the content menu. There are twenty-two categories in which the documentaries are divided. These include such interesting subjects such as arthealthsciencetravelhistory, and several others. 

Field of Vision - Their mission is to support work that uses innovative and artistic ways to explore contemporary global issues through a cinematic lens. Supports films of any length: shorts, episodic series, and features, with no funding cycles or deadlines. Filmmakers of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

IFP Independent Filmmaker Project -  Projects are selected on artistic merit and the potential of the project to benefit from the Spotlight on Documentaries program.

PBS POV - POV, public television's premier showcase for independent nonfiction film and video, seeks programs from all perspectives to showcase in its annual national PBS series. 

SnagFilmsSnagFilms is always on the look-out for excellent films seeking wide distribution as well as revenue generation. We welcome titles with a diversity of styles, subject matter and genres.

Sundance Film Festival - Each year, we select 110-120 Feature Films and 70-80 Short Films to play in one of 11 Festival programs.

Telluride Film Festival - Colorado film festival that accepts shorts, features, documentaries, animation, film, and video. There is a special category for student films. The only prerequisite is that feature films have not been shown around the North American block before. The real prize in Telluride is to be accepted from hundreds of entries as one of approximately 25 shorts and 30 features that will be showcased at the Festival.
