Use MERLIN to find books in the MU Libraries.

Some tips to using MERLIN:

• Do a Keyword or a Subject Search to search for information.
  • Keyword Search: Type keywords that describe your topic into the search box.  Use quotation marks to search for phrases. Use * to search for any words that begin with the letters before *.
    • robot* AND war
    • (bully OR bullies) AND "high school"
  • Subject Search: Use the Subject Search to search for specific names, events, or well known phrases.
    • Obama, Barack
    • Genetically modified foods

• Request books from MERLIN
• Request books from MOBIUS
• Request an Item (ILL@MU) (articles, dissertations, and books not available through MERLIN or MOBIUS)

Why use Google Books?

Google Books searches the full-text of books.  It is great for narrow topics because it lets you search within the text of books--you can see the table of contents, index or a portion of the contents of the book.  You can then locate the book in a nearby library.
