Genre / Form headings describe what a item IS, not what it is about.
The headings can be very useful for finding books, plays, films, and television programs that are all the same thing, like science fiction or dystopian fiction.
The tabs on the left give some of the most important genre headings. Use the search box on each page to search by genre in the MU catalog. You can expand the search to the other UM system libraries at UMSL, UMKC, and Missouri S&T by changing the default on the right side pull down menu from MU, to ALL MERLIN.
If you find materials in those libraries, use the request button to have it sent to Ellis at no charge.
Unfortunately, genre / Forms headings are not in Mobius.
Also, GENRE / FORM headings are a relatively recent creation and older materials
will not have had GENRE / FORM headings assigned to them.
