Searching Discover@MU and HeinOnline for Information About Organizations

  • Enclose the organization's name in "quotation marks" when searching it.
  • Try toggling the field dropdown to SU Subject, especially if you are getting thousands of results.
  • Also try toggling the field dropdown to TI Title - this will pick up more articles, which don't use subject headings
  • If your organization is large and/or has a long history, consider limiting publication date to the year your pamphlet was published and after.
  • If your organization goes by an acronym, use it in your searches, like this:
    • "National Committee of Black Churchmen" OR NCBC
