Locating books

Where do I find the circulation status codes?

Circulation codes are in the Status section of the Discover@MU record.

Circulation status codes

Status Code Meaning
AGED TO LOST Checked out item is overdue.
AVAILABLE         Item is ready to be checked out.
AWAITING PICKUP Item is requested and now at pick up location waiting for the requester to borrow the item.
CHECKED OUT

Item is on loan to a patron.

If a book you want is currently checked out, you can request a copy from: a MOBIUS library

If no copies are available in MOBIUS, request a copy via  Interlibrary Loan (ILL@MU)

Or place a hold on the copy of the book if not available elsewhere

IN PROCESS 

Item is being processed to be added to the library. It will soon be available to check out.

If you need the book as soon as possible, you can place a RUSH request for the book at the Ellis Library Circulation Desk (also known as Checkout & Information) or any branch circulation desk. You may also send an email to request rush cataloging

IN TRANSIT

Not available to check out. It is being transferred between libraries.

MISSING

Item is not checked out and cannot be found.

ON ORDER Item is on order, but has not yet been received.
PAGED Item has been requested by a patron
RESTRICTED Item is available, but there are limits on its access.
