Keenious: AI For the Article Search

How does Keenious rank its results list?

Keenious ranks search results based on a combination of factors:

  • Presence of key concepts associated with your query text*
    • words and phrases identical to those in your query text
    • terms identified by the Keenious AI as related by meaning to those you used
  • Number of citations (higher numbers bump a result up)
  • Recency (more recent publication date bumps a result up)

If you click the bar-graph icon near the upper right corner of any search result, you will see how much each factor contributed to the article's rank on the result list.

*Concepts must be found in text that is available for AI to process, such as abstracts, summaries, reviews, or open-access (OA) content, which means that sources with limited amounts of such AI-readable text may not be ranked high, unless you filter articles out of the search.
