  What is Discover@MU?

• A discovery tool is a simple and fast search engine that helps you find relevant information on any topic from the University of Missouri Libraries’ collections.  Results contain citations for scholarly journal articles, books and e-books, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, dissertations, and many more resources.

  What if the book I need is located at another University of Missouri campus?

• MOBIUS  - a catalog of the collections from most college and university libraries in the state of Missouri.

• Interlibrary Loan - for use when a book is not available from MERLIN or MOBIUS.

 How do I find a book with the Call Number?

• Locate a book using its call number
• If the call number starts with letters (ex. PR6068.O93 Z73 2003), use the Library of  Congress chart  to determine the floor and direction where the book is located.

• If the call number only has numbers, search for the location in the Dewey Decimal chart.

These charts can also be found on the yellow paper slips located throughout Ellis Library.
