The Quarterly Services Survey (QSS) and the Service Annual Survey (SAS) work together to produce the most comprehensive data available on service activity in the United States

The Annual Capital Expenditures Survey (ACES) provides data on capital spending for new and used structures and equipment by U.S. non-farm businesses with and without employees. Also, every five years, for years ending in "3" and "8", for companies with employees, the survey provides additional data by types of structures and types of equipment. Data have been collected annually beginning with data for 1994.

This annual series includes a separate report for each State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and a U.S. summary. The divisions of the economy covered are agricultural services, forestry, and fisheries; mining; contract construction; manufacturing; transportation and other public utilities; wholesale trade; retail trade; finance, insurance, and real estate; and services

County Business Patterns provides data on the total number of establishments, mid-March employment, first quarter and annual payroll, and number of establishments by nine employment-size classes by detailed industry for all counties in the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Island Areas.

Personal or household income is generally regarded as the single best measure of the degree to which people are "well off." But other factors also contribute to people's well-being. Extended measures of well-being gauge how people are faring at the household level. Included are possession of consumer durables, housing and neighborhood conditions, and the meeting of basic needs. Indicators of children's well-being are used to take a closer account of how well children progress to adulthood.

E-commerce data were collected in four separate Census Bureau surveys. These surveys used different measures of economic activity such as shipments for manufacturing, sales for wholesale and retail trade, and revenues for service industries.

Demographic characteristics of households and families are collected annually in the March Current Population Survey (CPS) for the Nation. Detailed information from recent surveys and historical trends in selected topics are listed below. More detail on household and family characteristics for states, metropolitan areas, and other geographic locations is collected in the decennial census.

The official source for U.S. export and import statistics and responsible for issuing regulations governing the reporting of all export shipments from the United States.

The International Programs Center (IPC), part of the Population Division of the U.S. Bureau of the Census, conducts demographic and socioeconomic studies and strengthens statistical development around the world through technical assistance, training, and software products. The International Programs Center resulted from the merger of the Center for International Research and the International Statistical Programs Center.

Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) is an innovative program within the U.S. Census Bureau. We use modern statistical and computing techniques to combine federal and state administrative data on employers and employees with core Census Bureau censuses and surveys while protecting the confidentiality of people and firms that provide the data.

The Advance Monthly and Monthly Retail Trade Surveys (MARTS and MRTS), the Annual Retail Trade Survey (ARTS), and the Quarterly E-Commerce Report work together to produce the most comprehensive data available on retail economic activity in the United States. The Monthly Wholesale Trade Survey (MWTS) and the Annual Wholesale Trade Survey (AWTS) work together to produce the most comprehensive data available on wholesale economic activity in the United States.

The main objective of SIPP is to provide accurate and comprehensive information about the income and program participation of individuals and households in the United States. SIPP offers detailed information on cash and noncash income on a subannual basis. The survey also collects data on taxes, assets, liabilities, and participation in government transfer programs. Other topics include topics include personal history, child care, wealth, child support, disability, school enrollment, and taxes.
