-Good for information on Missouri history, will have some on local and Mizzou history. They are located in the basement of Ellis Library; the entrance is off Lowry Mall
University Archives - University of Missouri
- UA collects information related to MU history including official documents. Please call or email before heading to 703 Lewis Hall. Most of their materials are located off-campus and must be brought to their office to use.
Boone County Historical Society

The Daniel Boone Regional Library Community History Archive showcases unique local photographs and documents that help tell the story of Mid-Missouri’s past. This growing collection represents aspects of our towns, institutions, neighborhoods and people that might never see a wider audience without digitization.
Using the MERLIN catalog, search Columbia Missouri history and similar keywords to find books about Columbia's history. Many may turn up in the State Historical Society of Missouri which is in the basement of Ellis Library. Those items cannot be checked out but must be used in their reading room.
