Westlaw and Write.law have partnered to offer several certifications aimed at teaching you the practical skills needed for successful lawyering.  The certifications offered by Write.law are:

  1. Core Tech Certification- Offers legal-focused traiaing on Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PDF editors, and more.
  2. Practice Tech Certification- Explores a myriad of tools essential to law practice including software for e-discovery, trial prep, and matter management.
  3. Legal Soft Skills Certification- Trains users on the practical skills legal professionals use everyday- from legal business models to building your brand and more.

 

You can add your certifications to LinkedIn by following the directions here.  You do not need a new log in for these certification modules- you use your Westlaw account.

LinkedIn Learning also offers technology training courses, including a Word training course. For Daniel Boone Regional Library patrons, you can have free access by entering your DBRL library card number and PIN to log in. Your default PIN is your date of birth in the format MMDDYYYY.
