Transactional Law: Home

Last updated by Annaleigh Hobbs, JD '25

Introduction

Transactional lawyering consists of the researching, drafting, and reviewing that goes into forming a business or making a deal.  Specific areas of transactional law include Mergers and Acquisitions, Real Estate, Tax, and Corporate Formation and Finance.

Transactional attorneys draft and negotiate contracts, draft estate planning documents, complete and file legally required forms on behalf of organizations or agencies, and advise on compliance matters.

This guide will provide an overview of the resources available to assist with transactional legal research.
