Racial Justice

Launched in August 2020, the Bias Hotline is available to all faculty, staff, students and visitors at biashotline.ethicspoint.com or (844) 946-1837, 24/7 year-round. This hotline offers yet another method for reporting bias incidents – either experienced or witnessed – by members of our university community. It’s important to note that the Bias Hotline does not replace other methods for reporting concerns.

If you experience discrimination or retaliation, or if you are aware of any form of discrimination or retaliation, please make a report so we can work to address the situation in an appropriate manner. Reports also help us track patterns and improve how we educate the campus and prevent discrimination at MU. All members of the university community, as well as visitors and third parties, can report incidents. You can also report by:
-Email: Send an email to civilrights-titleix@missouri.edu describing the incident, including the date and the names of people involved.
-Phone: Call 573-882-3880 to provide basic information. We will return your call.

The Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center (GOBCC) is dedicated to providing social and educational programs that reflect the history, heritage and culture of the African Diaspora to all students, faculty, staff and the Mid-Missouri community. Additionally, the GOBCC is a willing partner with entities endeavoring to make the University of Missouri a more inclusive and welcoming environment for diverse populations through education, outreach, and collaboration. Lastly, the GOBCC envisions itself as an instrument of orientation and instruction on the issues of race, politics, economics, community, art and culture of the African Diaspora.

The MU Multicultural Center wants you to know that our home, is your home. We are proud to be a safe and comfortable space for students of all identities and backgrounds. As a place for identity exploration and reclamation, the Center truly works to address the needs of underrepresented populations, providing a safe outlet and home away from home.

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion works collaboratively systemwide, with faculty, staff, and students, to create an overarching diversity framework aimed at connecting diversity and inclusion to functional areas throughout the institution.
