Patrons will be notified when books that they have checked out are overdue. Each patron is responsible for the payment of any fines that may accrue as a result of his/her book being returned late.
Please notify the Interlibrary Loan Specialist as soon as possible if you have lost a book that you have received via interlibrary loan. The lending library will then be apprised of the loss. It is up to each lending library to determine what action will be taken with regard to the replacement of the book.
The patron in whose name a book has been checked out is responsible for damages to the book from the time the book was checked out at the Circulation Desk until it is returned to our library. Although we make every attempt to note any damage to books that are lent to us by other libraries before checking them out to our patrons, it is helpful if patrons also look for damage. Should a patron notice any significant damage to a book that is being lent to him/her, this should be brought to the attention of the Circulation Supervisor, or the Interlibrary Loan Specialist as soon as possible before or after checkout. Please apprise the Interlibrary Loan Specialist of any damage that has been done to the book after it has been checked out. It is up to each lending library as what action is to be taken with regard to the book.
