Fine Press Editions

The fine press movement, which had its origins in late 19th-century England, sought to re-establish high quality printing, especially through the use of traditional techniques and high quality materials. The movement was reacting against the increasing mechanization of printing over the course of the 19th century.

Special Collections has a number of fine press editions of works by Classical authors. The majority are illustrated editions issued by the Limited Editions Club.
