Equipment Available for Persons with Disabilities

The ACT Center, maintains and makes available one adaptive workstation and laptop in Ellis Library.  The following adaptive resources are available:

  • Adaptive Workstation(located on One East/Central in Ellis Library)
    • JAWS for Windows screen reader
    • Kurzweil 3000 LearnStation
    • Natural Reader Text to Speech
    • OpenBook Scan and Read
    • ZoomText Magnifier/Reader
    • Scanner
  • Adaptive Laptop (may be checked out for two hours at the Circulation/Reserve Desk)
    • JAWS for Windows screen reader
    • ZoomText Magnifier/Reader
  • Headphones to use with these machines are available for check-out at 176 Ellis Library.

A TDD Telephone is located near the Bookmark Café, Ground floor, of Ellis Library.
