OER: Open Educational Resources

Designed for educators at the University of Missouri, this guide covers ways to find and create Open Educational Resources

What is OER Commons?

OER Commons is a collaborative platform for creating, storing, browsing, and curating OER Collections for higher education and K-12 instructors. Because we have access to OER Commons through our statewide academic library consortium, MOBIUS, the University of Missouri System has decided to use this platform as a referatory for all UM-instructor-created OER content.

How to get your content on OER Commons

If you are an instructor who wants to openly share your course materials, please contact Steven Pryor to have your OER added to the MU Group on the OER Commons.

Grant requirement: sharing your work

If you have received a UM A&OER grant to fund adaptation or creation of OER works, your content must be openly licensed and added to the OER Commons. Contact Steven Pryor for assistance in fulfilling that grant requirement.

For UM A&OER grant recipients: All adapted (& shared) or created (& shared) materials are to be openly licensed under a Creative Commons license and made available through the University Libraries’ MOBIUS OER Commons hub
