The Boone County Recorder of Deeds office has a list of "Old Churches." It is a few pages long, and lists church names, deed books and page numbers associated with the land records for the church. Land records may be simple property transfers, or they may be surveys or plats consisting of a map or diagram plus a verbal description of the property being transferred to the church. Not every church on this list is still in existence today, and not every church ever in existence in Boone County is on this list.
