What graduate students should know about the library

Citation Managers

Citation Managers do just that, they manage your citations. They will help you keep track of your citations, link them to PDFs, and allow you to convert the citation into thousands of different styles.

No one citation manager is perfect and will do everything you want, but you should be able to find one that works for you and your discipline.

The Library offers classes on Endnote and Zotero and Mendeley.  Endnote, a commercial product, is free to MU students.  Visit the software sales section on DoIT's website to purchase a copy.  Zotero is free software that resides in the Firefox browser.  Go to http://zotero.org to download a copy.  Mendeley is also a free product which you can download. Each has strengths and weaknesses.
