R: A statistical programming language used for data cleaning, visualization, and other purposes related to statistical computing and data analysis.

Python: A programming language that is commonly used for creating data visualizations, data analysis, and performing statistical calculations.

SQL (Structured Query Language): A programming language used for storing, processing, and retrieving data in relational databases.

REDCap: A secure application for data collection and survey management.

Excel: Spreadsheet software that can organize, analyze, and visualize data.

SPSS: Software that can run statistical tests and generate visualizations like tables, graphs, and charts.

Software Access at MU

Software Anywhere enables MU students, staff, and faculty to access software such as SPSS, R, Power BI, Tableau, SQL Server, SAS, and other software programs on any computer using MU login credentials.

Importing Files into Software Anywhere Programs

You must connect to your MU OneDrive to import files into the applications available through Software Anywhere. Here are the directions to do so:

  1. Open an application in Software Anywhere.
  2. Go to My Files at the top of the screen.
  3. Click Add Storage.
  4. Select Sign in with OneDrive and sign in. (Please be aware that it may take some time for your OneDrive files to load).
  5. Once your OneDrive has loaded, go to where you typically import files within the application.
  6. Locate OneDrive from the folder options and select the file you wish to import.
