Political Science: Find Books

Tips, techniques & links to help you find answers for your research papers & projects

Finding Books

To find BOOKS, you have several options:

Use the Discover@MU search to find books at MU and the other campuses of the University of Missouri.  If we don't have the book here at MU or if our copy is checked out, you can request it from another UM library.

MOBIUS: is a statewide network of college and university libraries. Do a search to find a book, then click on the red checkmark to request it, and it will be sent here for you.

WorldCAT :  If the book you need is not available through MU or MOBIUS, you can request it via WorldCAT, an international catalog containing over 95 million records of books and other materials held in libraries worldwide.

Google Books : Useful for finding information on a narrow topic. You can search the text of the book, as there may be only a chapter or section on your topic.  You can then check Discover@MU to see if we own the book.
