EndNote for Windows

Guide to setting up EndNote for Windows

Get and Install EndNote ---- Students

EndNote is free for MU students.

  1. Go to DoIT's Self-Service Portal
  2. Login to the Portal with MU username and password. Then, click the Service Catalog icon.
  3. Locate the Software section. Find ENDNOTE. On the next page click REQUEST ENDNOTE.   DOIT will get back to you with instructions for downloading.
  4. There is a slide show of the procedure at the bottom of the page.
  5. If you need assistance, they have a chat button on the page or you can call them at 573 882-5000.

Requirements:

Do not install EndNote or create an EndNote library saved to cloud storage ( e.g. Dropbox, Sharepoint, Google Drive and iCloud, etc.). EndNote is not compatible with cloud storage, and your library may become corrupted. Also avoid sharing your library on a shared network as EndNote only allows one user to open a library, add, or edit records at one time.

EndNote is available for both Windows and Mac, but Mac updates usually have a delayed release after the Windows version. The University’s update schedule is often behind the public schedule as well. View technical requirements

Get and Install EndNote -- Faculty/Staff
