LISGSA - Library & Information Science Graduate Student Association
Organizes social events and fundraisers to support travel funds, scholarships, professional development, and guest speakers. Events are a great way to make friends, network, and get to know faculty.

PLG - Progressive Librarians Guild

MU GPC - Graduate Professional Council
The official democratic government for all graduate, professional, postdoctoral, and postbaccalaureate students at the University of Missouri; provides travel funds, awards, and scholarships.

Upcoming LIS Conferences (that aren't terribly far away)

Library conferences area  great way to support your professional development, and learn about new trends in the field. Even if you can't attend, reading articles association with presentations, or looking through past conference archives can keep you up to date.
