At the time of reorganization in 1933, “In addition to consolidating and combining the duties and activities previously under the Board of Agriculture . . . . the 1933 Legislature transferred the (a) ‘egg licensing and inspection law’ and (b) the ‘ice cream permit and inspection law’ from the former Food and Drug Department (volumes for 1912-1916 and 1917 available in Hathi Trust) to the new State Department of Agriculture.”1
