There are three ways to create a link to Ebook Central books, chapters and pages:
 

1.    Copy and paste text from the book (either the title of the chapter or the first sentence) into a word document.  The correct URL will display in the citation following the text.  [On a MAC, you will need to control and click to right click.]

2.     Look at the pagination for your document.  The trick is using the page number within in the parentheses, not the page number in the box:

Cut and paste the URL from the address box:

http://site.ebrary.com/lib/umcolumbia/docDetail.action?docID=10158029&p00=term1%20term2

Remove any text after the "&" and add page=XX (substitute the page number found in the brackets)

Add the proxy server prefix for off-campus access

3.  Launch the Unity Ebook Central reader by clicking on the Ebook Central Reader button. 

 
Highlight the title or some text in the document.

Use the InfoTools drop down menu in the ebrary reader to Copy Bookmark.  (This menu is not the same one displayed in the web interface.)

Paste into a Word document to retrieve the URL.  Add the proxy server prefix for off-campus access.

The Ebook Libguide is a great resource for full-text ebook collections.  You can insert a link to this guide (http://libraryguides.missouri.edu/ebooks) into your Blackboard content, just like any other online resource.

Access the Ebook Libguide From the MU Libraries gateway, click the "Books and More" tab. Click the "Ebooks" link near the bottom of the info box.
Search Full-Text Resources There are many full-text, searchable resources, such as Gale, Ebrary, and Google Books.
Copy lists of results After a search, you can highlight the results URL in your browser's address bar and copy it to your clipboard.
Paste the link into your content with the proxy URL Follow the instructions on the Home tab of this guide to copy the link into your content. The link should be in the following format: http://proxy.mul.missouri.edu/login?url=xxxxx where xxxxx=the link copied from the Ebook resource.
