Campus Resources:

Family Organizations

PFLAG: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays - "United with LGBT people to move equality forward"

Family Equality Council - "Securing family equality for LGBTQ parents, guardians, and allies: working toward changing attitudes and policies to ensure all families are respected, loved, and celebrated - especially families with parents who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender."

COLAGE: Children of Lesbians and Gays Everywhere - "Unites people with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and/or queer parents into a network of peers and supports them as they nurture and empower each other"

LGBTQ: Planned Parenthood - Help understanding definitions, resources for coming out, and information about talking to doctors and health providers.

If you'd like more information about personal support for coming out, GLSEN and Advocates for Youth are two good places to start.
