HIST 2950 - 16th Century Latin America: Home

In This Guide

For your final paper you will need to find:

  • Five secondary sources (modern books or journal articles) about the 15th-16th century Spanish and Portuguese conquest of the Americas
  • Five primary sources (written in the 15th-16th century itself) in English translation.

For class on February 21 you will need to create a list of your 10 sources and be prepared to discuss how you discovered them.

Note: Keep track of your resource process and you will be well qualified for the library's Undergraduate Research Project Contest!  Prize = $500.  More on the contest
